Soccer in the Streets has been selected for the streetfootballworld festival 10, held in South Africa in conjunction with next summer's FIFA World Cup.  This will be the second time that Soccer in the Streets has sent a team to the World Cup.

In 2006, Soccer in the Streets participated in the first streetfootballworld festival 06, held in Berlin, Germany.  Eight players from the Atlanta area were chosen and played matches against teams from Colombia, the Balkans, Costa Rica, and other teams.  Four of those players have moved on to play in college, with Sean Johnson recently named to the US U-20 World Cup team.
